BIZKIDZ.COM is a website that provides the opportunity for a child to open a business, have some fun, and make some cash! The more effort you put into promoting your business; the more money you will earn - and the more fun you will have! It is a safe place to have fun, learn real life business skills, and earn money! THE ONLY VISITORS TO A BIZKIDZ.COM WEBSITE WOULD BE THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN INVITED!
Office supplies, travel accommodations, drug store items, flowers, electronics, and gifts - are all common purchases made regularly by your friends, family, and friends of friends. Why not tap into that existing market and have them purchase from hundreds of well-known retailers through a child's store? There is no extra markup on the products and your child earns 100% of the commission paid by the merchant.
Why did you start BIZKIDZ.COM?
BIZKIDZ.COM was started because company founder, Linda Raasch, saw a need to teach her own children about financial responsibility. She wanted them to understand the value of a dollar and the hard work it took to earn it. To accomplish this, she helped them open their first small business a lemonade stand. Promoting their merchandise, communicating with customers, and calculating the net profits after expenses were just some of the invaluable lessons learned.
Wanting to take these lessons learned by her own children to all children everywhere, Linda, with the encouragement from her husband, Ken Raasch, (who with partner artist, Thomas Kinkade, created America's largest art company and later started Creative Brands Group a brand development and management company), created BIZKIDZ.COM to educate children in basic business skills. BIZKIDZ.COM offers an opportunity to any ambitious child who wants to create their own store and earn real money. While having fun on BIZKIDZ.COM, a child gains an education in basic business skills. There is no better place to light a child's entrepreneurial fire than by opening a store on BIZKIDZ.COM.
How do kids make money on BIZKIDZ.COM?
Kids earn money on BIZKIDZ.COM by marketing their "own" store to customers they choose. When a shopper purchases an item from over hundreds of merchants offered in their store, 100% commission paid by the merchant is earned. Ninety percent of that commission will be paid to the child, of which 10% of their earnings will be donated to a charity of their choice.
How do kids learn about business on BIZKIDZ.COM?
Learning on BIZKIDZ.COM takes place the minute a child signs up to become a storeowner. The more ambitious the storeowner; the greater the financial rewards! These first lessons of marketing, promotion, designing, developing relationships, asking for the sale, follow through, communication with customers, etc., are the launching pad for the next generation of business leaders. Our hope at BIZKIDZ.COM is that the next generation's most successful business entrepreneurs will have gotten their start on BIZKIDZ.COM.
Is BIZKIDZ.COM unique?
Yes, BIZKIDZ.COM is uniquely developed to offer a website to foster financial and business literacy for ambitious children in an educationally safe environment with the bonus of earning real money. Is BIZKIDZ.COM safe for children?
BIZKIDZ.COM is designed with a safety first motto! Your child, or storeowner, creates his/her own contact list based on their own network of family and friends. The storeowners' URL address will not be published. In fact, the only way you can go to a BIZKIDZ.COM store is if you are invited by the storeowner. Earning money via BIZKIDZ.COM is MUCH safer than a paper route, door-to-door selling, or even a street corner lemonade stand. You don't have to worry about traffic, strangers, or bad weather!
How does the banking work on BIZKIDZ.COM?
BIZKIDZ.COM is partnered with PayPal as their online payment solution. Commissions, when ready to be paid, will be deposited into the parents' PayPal account. The parent can direct the money into a child's savings account or withdraw cash via a PayPal debit card.
What products can I buy on BIZKIDZ.COM?
BIZKIDZ.COM offers not only the inventory that the child puts in their store, but it also offers an easy-to-access alphabetized menu listing hundreds of merchants.
How much does it cost to open a store on BIZKIDZ.COM?
Our hope is that BIZKIDZ.COM will pay for itself! The cost of joining allows you to set up your own business so you can make as much money as you wish. The harder you work marketing your BIZKIDZ.COM store; the more money you can make.

Create and manage your own BIZKIDZ.COM store risk free! For those who want to try operating a BIZKIDZ.COM store rent free, we offer you this option. One hundred percent of the commission you earn will be donated to one of the listed charitable organizations provided. When you are ready to start making money for yourself, simply sign up for OPTION A or OPTION B.
What does a child need in order to open a store on BIZKIDZ.COM?
A child just needs to have access to a computer, the internet, and a parent with a PayPal account. And, of course, a small dose of ambition to ensure their desire to work hard and earn real money!
How exactly is a child’s safety protected?
A child's safety is critical to all of us at BIZKIDZ.COM... we are parents, too! BIZKIDZ.COM is a closed community, meaning that the ONLY shoppers that may go to a child's store are those people who have been invited. The child will send emails or give the URL address of the store to ONLY people that he/she invites to shop in their store. (We encourage parents to be involved with their children to see who they have invited to their store. Of course, children should always be monitored according to the rules that parents set for their own family).
Can anyone buy in my child’s BIZKIDZ.COM store?
Only those customers who have been sent an email by a BIZKIDZ.COM store owner or have been given the storeowner's BIZKIDZ.COM address will know the child's store name. Remember, only those who you invite to shop in your store are allowed to enter your store.
What is a Wish List on BIZKIDZ.COM?
Wish Lists are lists created by the storeowner documenting the purchase needs and wants of the storeowner's network of friends and family. A Wish List is a great tool for a BIZKIDZ.COM storeowner to provide gift giving information for specific people for specific dates such as Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Day, graduations, etc. For example, a storeowner can create a birthday Wish List for Mom's upcoming birthday and send the list to Dad, an aunt, a grandparent, a neighbor, and her friends. This offers a convenient reason to shop in a BIZKIDZ.COM store - you won't have to ask, "What do you want for your birthday"? The Wish List email will direct the recipient back to the BIZKIDZ.COM store where the shopper can view the store and may make a purchase. As the shopper, you will know exactly what is "wanted" after reading a BIZKIDZ.COM Wish List and after making a purchase through a child's BIZKIDZ.COM store you will have supported a worthy cause. Who doesn't want to help a child succeed in business?
How soon can you start earning money on BIZKIDZ.COM?
When the retailer pays BIZKIDZ.COM your commission payment, we transfer 90% of the commission to your PayPal account and give 10% to the charity you have chosen upon registration. It generally takes 2-3 months for the retailer to send payment from any sale.
How much money do we earn from each purchase?
It depends. Each retailer pays a different commission percentage, anywhere from 1-20%. If you put together customized clothing from Zazzle or photo books with Picaboo, you set the profit margin (10%-30% is the usual).
How do commissions work?
The commission earned is a percentage of the total amount the customer spends. For example, when your child asks you to do your online shopping at Macy's through their BIZKIDZ.COM store, your child will receive 4% (Macy's commission percentage) of that purchase.
Of course, when anyone makes a purchase, there is always the chance they may return the item to the store at a later date. It is for this reason that most merchants do not report a sale or pay out a commission until a certain period of time has passed. Generally, your child will receive their commission 2 to 3 months after a purchase has been made. After this 'return period' of time has elapsed, BIZKIDZ.COM receives the commission payment from the merchant. We will then distribute the commission to the individual BIZKIDZ.COM storeowner. We want to help your child manage their store so we have provided the Account Status link.
Total Amount Paid: This is how much you have been paid in commission since you opened your store.
Total Amount Paid This Year: This is how much you have earned to date in this calendar year.
Pending Commissions: This is the amount of money you have earned from a purchase made through your BIZKIDZ.COM store, but the funds are not yet ready to be paid. Pending means we are waiting for the merchant to confirm that the commission is ready to be paid as an actual payment. This amount can change if your customer decides to return something they purchased or if there is a problem with the sale.

What is the Referral Program?
When your child refers a friend to BIZKIDZ.COM and their friend pays for a BIZKIDZ.COM yearly membership, your child earns $5! Their friend must enter your child's store name correctly (case sensitive) upon registering (in the "referred by" field) for their own BIZKIDZ.COM account in order for your child to earn the $5.
How does a child advertise their store?
We suggest that children spread the word by telling neighbors, parents of friends, family members, teachers, coaches, and any adult (that has a computer) about their new business. (When a child sends an email from the BIZKIDZ.COM message center, the link to their BIZKIDZ.COM store is automatically printed on the email so customers can easily visit their store).
